If you're looking for a truly remote and incredible fishing and camping trip with friends, where everyone catches fish, look no further. You’ll find primarily Westslope Cutthroat Trout in the 12-16” range, with an occasional 16-18” lunker. They aren't picky, and they love to eat dry flies all day long!
The North Fork of the Clearwater River, as well as its famous tributary Kelly Creek, are freestone rivers that start in northern Idaho and flows more than 50 miles through a deep, rugged forest before draining into a reservoir. This river is remote and a pain to get to, and the river has miles of water that doesn't fish well. But those who know where, when and how to fish this incredible water, and are willing to drive many miles of unmaintained roads completely off the grid, will be rewarded with an amazing cutthroat trout fly fishing experience.
This guide will show you specific coordinates to where the best fishing spots are, and how to reach them. I'll tell you where to camp, where to fish, what you'll catch, and how to have the best fly fishing excursion -- for a day or more, alone or with friends!
