The Green River starts high in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming and winds over 700 miles through Wyoming, Utah and Colorado to its confluence with the Colorado River. The area around Flaming Gorge Reservoir in Utah offers exceptional fly fishing within a beautiful, rugged, remote, and uninhabited canyon far from roads and civilization.
While this river is fished primarily from a guided drift boat, this experience offers an incredible (and less expensive) self-guided alternative. There are no roads on this river, but those who are willing to hike a bit, and know where and how to fish this incredible wilderness water, will be rewarded with an amazing, do-it-yourself, large trout experience.
