When it comes to bucket list trout fisheries, the Henry's Fork of the Snake River in Idaho should be on everyone's list. Not only is it world-renown for its dry fly fishing, but also for its varied terrain and large Rainbow Trout. This experience focuses on the Upper Henry's Fork above and below Island Park, ID.
The fly fishing in this area combines spectacular scenery, prolific hatches, gorgeous trout, and exceptional walk and wade terrain. The challenge is not the fishable water available, but rather figuring out where the fish actually hold and what they're feeding on. This feels and fishes like 5-6 rivers, because every section is very different. Some of the sections in this guide have obvious runs, riffles, pools, etc., but much of it consists of shallow flats where it can be very difficult to see the subtleties and nuances of the river bottom. To catch real fish, one needs to walk past a lot of water to reach the secret spots where the fish are holding, and the pressure is minimal. I show you exactly where those spots are.
This self-guided experience (sold in limited quantities) will guide you to specific coordinates where the best fishing spots are, and how to reach them. I'll tell you how to get there, where to park, what hot spots to fish, what you'll catch, and how to have the best fly fishing excursion -- for a day or more, alone or with friends!
Here's what you get with each purchase.
